Dr. Louis Mariotti is a board-certified specialist in Facial Plastic and Head and Neck Surgery with advanced fellowship training in Hair Restoration Medicine and Surgery. An inaugural member of the first hospital-affiliated fellowship program dedicated to hair restoration, Dr. Mariotti received comprehensive training with a strong emphasis on advanced surgical technique. He completed his medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania.
With more than 31 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Mariotti is recognized not only for his surgical expertise but also for his commitment to education and advancing the specialty. He has presented and instructed fellow surgeons at facial plastic surgery conferences on hair restoration topics across the country and internationally. For nine consecutive years, he served as a featured lecturer at the AOCOO-HNS Annual Meeting.
Dr. Mariotti dedicated six years as a member of the AOCOO-HNS Board of Examiners, where he played an integral role in the preparation and administration of written and oral board certification examinations for surgeons within his specialty. He currently serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and is a clinical educator with The Wright Center Family Practice Residency Program.
A third-generation hair expert, Dr. Mariotti’s passion for hair and aesthetics runs deep. His grandfather, a Sicilian-born master hairdresser, founded a cosmetology school that was later carried on by Dr. Mariotti’s uncle. This legacy of craftsmanship and artistry continues to influence Dr. Mariotti’s meticulous attention to detail and refined aesthetic sensibility. Beyond medicine, he is also an accomplished furniture designer and master woodworker — a testament to the precision and artistry he brings to every procedure.
